Jet Gold changes its name to Deep-South Resources Inc, consolidate shares and appoints John Akwenye as chairman

Vancouver, B.C., Canada – October 26, 2016 – Jet Gold Corp. (“Jet Gold” or “the Company“) (TSX-V: JAU) announces that it will change its name to “Deep-South Resources Inc”. and will consolidate its common shares by a ratio of 2 old shares for 1 new share. The Company will start trading under its new name and on a consolidated basis upon receipt of all applicable regulatory approvals.

On another matter, the Board of Directors has appointed John H. Akwenye as both Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Akwenye is a Namibian retired lawyer with over 30 years of experience in business development in Namibia. From 1994 to 2008, he was Chairman of Guinas Investments (PTY) Ltd a Swapo-owned investment company. He has also been Chairman of the Namibian Airports Company from 2001 to 2004. He is a current Director of Areva Resources Namibia, PE Minerals and and Haib Minerals (PTY) Ltd. as well as the Chairman of Deep-South Mining Company (PTY) Ltd.   Mr. Akwenye’s appointment is conditional to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
